The Field Services group is responsible for turning on and off water meters. We work in tandem with the Customer Service Division. We are on-call 24 hours a day to respond to water emergencies.
Water Service Connections
- New service connections require a completed application and possible deposit. Service connections are performed Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding observed holidays. Visit Request Water Service for more information and/or to apply for services.
- Turn on requests for returning seasonal customers and/or customers with “landlord” accounts are performed Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding observed holidays. A minimum of two business days’ advance notice is required.
- Service reconnection requests due to non-payment or returned payments require all billed amounts, including fees (delinquent, returned item and/or reconnection) to be paid prior to the service being reconnected. An after-hours fee is charged to all reconnection requests after 5 PM or before 8 AM on weekdays, and all requests on weekends and/or observed holidays.
- Service reconnection requests due to missing documents and/or deposit are only permitted during regular business hours and must be resolved with Customer Service.
- If your services were temporarily turned off for repairs or suspected leaks, you can ask to have them restored at any time, and there is no fee for this service.
- It is unlawful for any unauthorized person to turn on/off meters. Doing so may result in additional charges.
Water Service Disconnects
- Requests to turn off services, other than for possible leaks and/or repairs, require two business days’ notice. Turn-off requests are only performed during regular business hours and result in the closure of the account. The meter will be turned off anytime between 8 AM and 5 PM on the selected date.
- Temporary turn-off requests to make repairs can be made at any time and there is no cost for this service. The account remains active and continues to be billed for all applicable charges. To make a request during regular business hours call 928-373-5076; after business hours call 928-783-7601.
- Disconnection of services can occur due to non-payment, returned payments, missing documents, unpaid deposits and/or illegal usage.
