The Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is published each year to provide customers with important information about their drinking water. This report is required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and must be available to the public by July 1st each year. The report summarizes water quality data from the previous calendar year. For example, the CCR published on July 1, 2026 contains data for January through December 2025.
The City of Yuma's drinking water is supplied by the Colorado River and treated at the Main Street and Agua Viva Water Treatment Facilities before being delivered to customers throughout the community. Throughout the year, City staff conduct thousands of laboratory tests to ensure the water meets or exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards.
The Water Quality Report includes information about:
- The source of Yuma’s drinking water
- Water treatment processes used to ensure safe drinking water
- Results from monitoring for regulated contaminants
- Monitoring for disinfection byproducts, lead and copper, and other water quality parameters
- Testing for unregulated contaminants, such as PFAS, to help inform future drinking water regulations
- Public health information and regulatory standards established by EPA.
The City of Yuma is committed to providing safe, reliable, and high-quality drinking water to our community while maintaining compliance with all federal and state drinking water regulations.
