2021_MayorBikeRide-72 (1)

Each year, residents and their families are invited to join the Mayors' International Bike Ride — a cross-border tradition that celebrates unity, community, and the shared spirit of our region.

Founded by Mayor Nicholls and leaders from 4FrontED, the event brings together mayors and elected officials from Yuma, Somerton, San Luis, Wellton, and San Luis Rio Colorado, along with Yuma County and the Fort Yuma Quechan and Cocopah tribes. Together, they lead participants along a scenic, family-friendly route highlighting our vibrant border communities.

Riders enjoy a leisurely pace, guided by area public safety agencies, with stops every few miles for rest and camaraderie. Past routes have started at the Yuma Civic Center and featured stops in Cocopah, Somerton, Gadsden, and San Luis, finishing with a celebration near San Luis Rio Colorado’s City Hall.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s ride we’ll see you again next year!
