The Yuma Regional Communications System (YRCS) is a regional, multi-jurisdictional public safety communications system that supports interoperable communications and shared public safety technology services for participating agencies.

YRCS includes a public safety grade Project 25 (P25) 700/800 MHz trunked land mobile radio system, regional public safety data systems, emergency 911 administration support, and related technology infrastructure used by public safety and public service agencies. The system supports day-to-day operations, emergency response, mutual aid, and interoperability across jurisdictions and public safety disciplines.

YRCS serves participating local, tribal, county, state, and federal public safety and governmental agencies throughout the Yuma and La Paz region, with interoperability capabilities that support coordination with partner jurisdictions throughout Arizona and neighboring areas.

The YRCS Council provides governance and oversight for the joint use, operation, maintenance, planning, and funding of YRCS systems. The Council meets at least quarterly, and meeting agendas are posted in accordance with public meeting requirements.
