ADUs provide flexible housing options and can be used for extended family, rental income, or guest accommodations. The City’s Permit-Ready Plans Program includes three pre-approved ADU designs that vary in size and layout, offering options to fit different property configurations and needs. Each plan is designed to meet local development standards while maximizing functionality and livability.

Prior to using any plan, applicants must complete and submit the required Permit-Ready Plans Waiver and Use Agreement (PDF) .

This document outlines the terms and conditions for participation in the City of Yuma’s Permit-Ready Plans Program.

If submitting plans electronically, the agreement can be completed as part of the online application process through the Development Portal.
