The Professional Services Division (PSD) focuses on meeting the core needs of all Department personnel, through several levels of Training. These training levels are accomplished by dividing the training program down into seven primary focus areas: suppression, emergency medical services, technical rescue, hazardous materials, prevention, professional development, and incident command.

In order to accomplish the various training sessions a variety of personnel are used including: training staff, chief officers, company officers, hazardous materials technicians, technical rescue specialists, and outside professionals.  Emergency Medical Services certification and recertification programs are accomplished internally by our instructors associated with the Arizona Department of Health Services ALS and BLS training centers, and through American Heart Association Training Centers.
