The Accounting Division manages the accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant reporting, payroll, and treasury functions of the City of Yuma. In addition, Accounting coordinates the annual audit and produces the City of Yuma's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report

For the 34th consecutive year, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada has awarded the City a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its FY2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a government must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized CAFR, which must satisfy both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and applicable legal requirements. This Certificate of Achievement is rewarded on a yearly basis.
