2019 Day of Unity - Graffiti Cleanup

Uniting to clean up Yuma by beautifying areas that have been tagged with graffiti.

This event is a United for Yuma effort, and one of three Day of Unity’s spearheaded by Yuma Mayor Douglas Nicholls within the last several years. The event aims to serve as a volunteer-driven initiative, where local residents can give back to their community in a united, collaborative event. All costs and work are by local residents and staff.

Meet at Kennedy Park, 2251 S. Kennedy Lane
8:00 am to Noon

Light breakfast will be provided.

Mayor Douglas Nicholls, Chief of Police John Lekan and other leaders will be giving a speech before the event starts.

Interested in volunteering? Or, are you able to donate supplies or materials?

Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate, if they choose to do so. Contact Lucy Valencia at or at (928) 373-5016. We are also looking for assistance with donations for cleaning supplies and materials for this event.

Please wear comfortable shoes, clothes you wouldn’t mind dirtying, sunscreen.
