Staff meets with the public, reviews building plans, issues building permits, performs inspections of construction, and ensures Council adopted codes are enforced. The division also includes two code enforcement officers.
Building and Residential Advisory Boards
The City of Yuma has several boards and commissions made up of City residents who have volunteered their service to the community. Any person who lives within Yuma's City limits may serve on a board or commission. The Building Advisory Board and Residential Advisory and Appeals Boards are of a technical nature and require one or more members to have specific technical expertise. The Boards serve as Advisory and Appeals Boards to the Building Safety Division and to the Community. In order to be considered for a board or commission, an application must be filed in the City Clerk's Office.
