For elections covering initiated or referred measures, arguments supporting or opposing the measure must be filed with the clerk not less than 90 days before the election.

Arguments filed for inclusion in the publicity pamphlet must include a notarized signature of each person sponsoring the argument; for organizations submitting arguments the notarized signatures of two executive officers and for political committees submitting arguments the notarized signatures of the committee’s chairman or treasurer must be included. Arguments must be notarized, cannot exceed 300 words in length and must be submitted electronically to the City Clerk's Office at Yuma City Hall, One City Plaza, Yuma, Arizona.  At the time of filing, each argument must be submitted with a deposit of $300 to cover the costs of printing as provided for in ARS § 19-124 (A).  For further information, please contact the City Clerk's Office at (928) 373-5035 or TTY (928) 373-5149.

City of Yuma Public Notice

The City of Yuma is proposing to call a Special Election to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, for the purpose of initiating an increase of the City Transaction Privilege (Sales) Tax by one-half of one percent (0.5%), to take effect January 1, 2019, to provide funding solely dedicated to fixing potholes, improving existing roads and replacing asphalt. This item will be listed on the ballot as Proposition 411.  The last day for filing arguments supporting or opposing the proposition is Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.  Arguments must be notarized, cannot exceed 300 words in length and submitted electronically to the City Clerk's Office at Yuma City Hall, One City Plaza, Yuma, Arizona.  At the time of filing, each argument must be submitted with a deposit of $300 to cover the costs of printing as provided for in ARS § 19-124 (A).  For further information, please contact the City Clerk's Office at (928) 373-5035 or TTY (928) 373-5149.    

Ciudad de Yuma Aviso Público 

La Ciudad de Yuma está proponiendo llamar una Elección Especial que se llevará a cabo el día martes, 6 de noviembre del 2018, con el propósito de iniciar un incremento del impuesto a las ventas de privilegio de transacción de la ciudad por la mitad de un por ciento (0.5%), que tomar efecto el 1 de enero del 2019, para proporcionar fondos exclusivamente destinados a reparar baches, mejorar las carreteras existentes y reemplazar el asfalto.  Este artículo aparecerá en la boleta electoral como Proposición 411.  El último día para presentar argumentos en favor o en contra de la propuesta es el día miércoles, 8 de agosto del 2018, a las 5:00 de la tarde.  Los argumentos deben estar notariado, no pueden exceder 300 palabras en total y enviarse electrónicamente a la Oficina de la Secretaria Municipal, en Yuma City Hall, One City Plaza, Yuma, Arizona.  En el momento de presentar cada argumento debe incluir un depósito de $300 para cubrir los costos de impresión como es especificado en ARS § 19-124 (A).  Para más información, por favor de comuníquese con la Oficina de la Secretaria Municipal al teléfono (928) 373-5035 o por el TTY (Aparato de Telecomunicación para personas con discapacidades del oído) (928) 373-5149.
