Police introduce online reporting

Residents now have an additional way to report certain crimes from the convenience of their smartphone or desktop computer.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions and the Yuma Police Department announce the deployment of the LexisNexis-Coplogic Solutions System. This system is an incident reporting system that provides a fast and efficient way for community members to report a variety of non-injury, no-suspect crimes to YPD via the Internet.

The crimes residents may report through LexisNexis-Coplogic are the low-priority calls for service that may take several hours for an officer’s response. This new capability will increase efficiencies within the police department while enhancing services to community members.

The Yuma Police Department is harnessing technology to provide services more efficiently.

“We think that investing in technology, which gives our community members a better experience, is an important way to demonstrate our commitment,” said YPD in a statement.

The LexisNexis-Coplogic Solutions System enables fast and efficient online reporting, providing these additional benefits:

  • Reduction of officer response time.
  • Online access for citizens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Web-based access on any Internet-enabled PC or mobile device.
