YUMA, Ariz. - Mayor of Yuma Douglas Nicholls is hosting a fifth "Community Conversations" neighborhood meeting for residents living on the east side of town, particularly those east of Avenue 3E within the City limits. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, at the Yuma Readiness & Community Center (6550 E. 24th Street).
This meeting will serve as an opportunity for local residents of all ages and backgrounds to ask their local mayor any question, voice their concerns, engage in dialogue, or simply attend to participate by listening. Meetings are held at an after-hours time to be more accessible.
Translating assistance for Spanish speakers will be available.
“Actively listening to the community’s input is key to being able to serve the community to the best of my ability,” said Mayor Douglas Nicholls. “I appreciate those who email, call, and come to City Council meetings. I hope to reach all parts of the community to connect with residents of all ages, occupations and neighborhoods.”
Comment cards will be available at the neighborhood meetings for residents who would like to ask a question or leave a comment anonymously.
