ARTbeat set for April 16
ARTbeat 9 is Saturday, April 16, 4 to 9 p.m. on Main Street. Enjoy the art of talented local and regional artists.

The Yuma Art Center will host the ninth installment of the award-winning ARTbeat, a fine art exhibit and sale, 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 16, on Yuma’s historic Main Street.

ARTbeat is a free event for families and art lovers, featuring an eclectic mixture of recognized and emerging local, regional, and international artists in a variety of artistic mediums and styles. Held outdoors, ARTbeat is a juried art show, with original works for sale.

The street will be covered with the works of local artists that include sculpture, paintings, jewelry, prints, glass, ceramics, photography, mixed media and more.

Awards will be presented in four categories, Best In Show, Best Presentation, Rising Star, and The Artistic Journey’s Award. Artists from the western region including California, Arizona, and Mexico will be represented.

“ARTbeat 9 promises to bring you the best local artists and their beautiful works to the Historic North End of Yuma,” said Ana Lazo-Padilla, marketing specialist for the Yuma Art Center. “See outstanding works of art, listen to some great music on the street, and check out the competition for best in show and other artist awards.”
