City seeks community input in search for next City Administrator

Residents invited to complete survey by Friday, July 24

Post Date:07/13/2026 12:47 PM

The City of Yuma is inviting community members to help shape the City’s future by sharing their input as the search begins for the next City Administrator.

The recruitment comes as Acting City Administrator Jay Simonton plans to retire in March 2027. As the City Council begins the process of appointing the next City Administrator, community input gathered through the survey will help inform the recruitment process.

Community members are encouraged to complete the brief survey, which is open now through Friday, July 24. The survey is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GTFWL6K.

The survey is being facilitated by the City's executive search consultant, Mosaic Public Partners. Responses will be collected anonymously and shared with the City Council.

The City Administrator serves as the chief executive officer of the City of Yuma, overseeing the City's day-to-day operations and implementing the policies and direction established by the City Council.

Residents are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete the survey and help shape the future of the City of Yuma.
