The City of Yuma invites the community to celebrate Independence Day at the free annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on Saturday, July 4, at Desert Sun Stadium (1280 W. Desert Sun Drive).

This family-friendly event will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature food and beverage vendors, along with a free kids zone. A larger fireworks display in honor of America’s 250th birthday is scheduled to begin at approximately 9 p.m.

“We look forward to seeing families come together for one of Yuma’s favorite summer traditions,” said Kathy Urfer, Special Events Assistant. “We invite everyone to join us at Desert Sun Stadium for a safe and enjoyable Independence Day celebration.”

To help ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone, a clear bag policy will be in effect. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and guests are welcome to bring water bottles, blankets, and chairs for use on the field.

The following items will not be permitted inside the stadium:

  • Outside food.
  • Glass containers.
  • Pets.
  • Personal fireworks, sparklers, or other flames.
  • Coolers.
  • Non-clear bags.
