The City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to the annual Kite Festival on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Pacific Avenue Athletic Complex (1700 E. 8th Street). This free, family-friendly event offers an afternoon of fun as kites fly in the sky.
“The Kite Festival is special because it fills the sky with vibrant, creative kites while bringing the community together for an enjoyable experience,” said Vanessa Penunuri, Recreation Coordinator. “The blend of art, wind, and shared excitement creates a joyful and memorable atmosphere for all ages.”
A limited number of kites will be available for participants to borrow while supplies last.
Outside snacks are permitted; however, glass containers are not allowed. Food vendors will be onsite with food and refreshments available for purchase.
Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets, folding chairs, and any items needed for comfort while spending time outdoors.
