The City of Yuma will host a Career Exploration Fair on Wednesday, February 4, from 10 a.m. to noon in the East Wing of the Yuma Civic Center (1440 W. Desert Hills Drive), offering residents an opportunity to learn more about the wide range of careers available within the organization.
Community members are invited to visit booths representing City departments to explore available positions, learn about job requirements, advancement opportunities, and the application process. Attendees may arrive at any time during the event and are not required to stay for the full duration.
Human Resources Department representatives will be present to answer questions and provide guidance on applying for City positions. Visitors will also be able to review a list of current job openings, including job titles, compensation, and minimum qualifications.
“The fair is a great opportunity to showcase the many diverse career opportunities available within the City of Yuma,” said Monica Welch, Director of Human Resources. “From the Fire and Police Departments to Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Water and Wastewater Treatment Divisions, and IT, the City offers rewarding careers for professionals across many fields – including engineers, attorneys, and accountants.”
Welch added, “This Career Exploration Fair is a fantastic opportunity for residents to explore these career paths and see how their skills can make an impact on our community. We encourage everyone to stop by and learn more about joining our team.”
