Downtown Yuma will once again be filled with the sights, sounds, and flavors of the BBQ and Brew Festival when the popular community event returns on Saturday, February 28, from 12 to 9 p.m. This free, family-friendly festival brings together great food, live music, and friendly competition for a full day of fun in the heart of the city.
Festival attendees are invited to sample a variety of barbecue styles from local vendors and cast their vote in the People’s Choice competition, with the winner earning a $1,000 prize.
The event also features the Best in the Desert Southwest cooking contest, sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS). Barbecue teams from across the country will compete for points toward the KCBS Team of the Year World Championship.
Live music will play throughout the day, and additional food and beverage options will also be available for purchase from on-site vendors.
“The BBQ and Brew Festival is a great opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy great food and entertainment in Downtown Yuma,” said Special Events Coordinator Brissa Garcia. “We’re excited to welcome competitors and residents back for another year of this event.”
