City invites residents to share input on housing and community needs

Community survey will help guide Yuma’s next five-year Consolidated Plan

Post Date:10/15/2025 1:21 PM

Yuma, Ariz. – The City of Yuma’s Neighborhood and Economic Development Division invites residents to complete a housing survey to help develop the City’s Consolidated Plan a five-year strategy that guides community development priorities.

The Consolidated Plan identifies housing, neighborhood, and community needs and sets priorities for how federal funds will be used. Through this process, the City establishes goals for affordable housing, infrastructure improvements, public services, and economic opportunities that enhance the quality of life for Yuma residents.

Residents are encouraged to complete the housing survey at yumaaz.gov/affordablehousing by Thursday, November 13, 2025. Responses will help the City better understand neighborhood needs and ensure that investments align with the community’s priorities.

“We would love to hear from you,” said Kassandra Granados, Neighborhood Services Specialist. “Your feedback as a Yuma resident will help shape the City’s five-year Consolidated Plan and guide how we invest resources in housing, community services, and neighborhood improvements.”

In addition to the survey, residents are invited to attend a public hearing on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in room 190 at Yuma City Hall (One City Plaza) to learn more about the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME).
