Parks & Recreation

The City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department maintains over 600 acres of parks and facilities, including 32 parks, 8 neighborhood basin parks, 9 athletic complexes, 2 golf courses, 19 City buildings, a gymnasium, outdoor courts, and volleyball courts. Amenities include playgrounds, BBQs, ramadas, benches, tables, water features, and walking paths.

Divisions include Grounds Maintenance, Urban Forestry, Downtown Mall, Baseball Complex, Golf Course Maintenance, Graffiti Abatement, and Facilities Maintenance.

Library Park applies to the 3 acres of green open space surrounding the Heritage Branch of the Yuma County Library. This area provides a public gathering place for the central core of Yuma. Special art exhibits and events occur seasonally in this space, and future expansion of arts and culture programming is planned.
