The Parks and Recreation Fun Monster made a surprise appearance at the Ponderosa Park’s grand opening on June 18th. The newest neighborhood park in Yuma, Ponderosa Park is located at 26th Place and 29th Drive. Ponderosa Park is the first and only park in Yuma to have a shade installed over the playground. The Fun Monster and the neighborhood kids had a great time skating, playing disc golf, and shooting inflatable hoops! There was a big turnout of folks who celebrated by enjoying grilled hot dogs and sodas served by Parks and Recreation staff.
