The Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer a full summer of swimming for all ages. Open Swim times are scheduled for each pool depending on other activity at that pool.

Who's It For?

Open swim is for everyone! Youth under the age of 7 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Everyone who enters the pool area is required to pay admission or have a pass.

When Can I Swim?

Open Swim times are scheduled for each pool depending on other activity at that pool though hours will change when school starts in August.

  • Kennedy Pool
    Where: 23rd Street and Kennedy Lane (accessed from 24th Street)
    When: June 9 through August 30 - Monday through Friday: 1 pm & 6:15 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday: 1:00 p.m.
  • Marcus Pool
    Where: 5th Street and 5th Avenue (545 5th Street)
    When: June 7 through August 2 - Monday through Sunday; 1:00 p.m.

How Much?

Everyone who enters the pool area is required to pay admission or have a swim pass.

  • Kennedy Pool Admission is youth through high school $1; adults $2.50
  • Marcus Pool admission is youth through high school 50 cents; adults $1.50

Swim Passes

Swim passes are available for purchase only at the Parks and Recreation office. Swim passes are accepted at any pool and are good May 24 through September 1. Family passes are for immediate family use only.

  • Open Swim Monthly Passes: Youth $28; $18 with City resident credit; Adults $43; $28 with City resident credit; Family $58; $38 with City resident credit. Monthly passes are available for one calendar month only. June: May 24 - June 30; July: July 1 - July 31; or August: August 1- September 1.
  • Open Swim Season Passes: Youth $58; $38 with City resident credit; Adults $95; $63 with City resident credit; Family $155; $103 with City resident credit.

Normal Pool Hours

Kennedy Pool

Kennedy Pool is open May 27 through June 6, Tuesday through Friday from 6:15 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. through 7:45 p.m. There is no Open Swim on June 4 and June 5, and then Kennedy Pool reopens June 9 through August 30, Monday thru Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. The pool is open Saturday and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Kennedy Pool holiday hours include Fourth of July 1:00 p.m. thru 7:45 p.m. and Labor Day 1:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Swimmers must be at least 42" tall to go down the slide, and be able to swim to use the diving board.

Marcus Pool

Marcus Pool is open June 7 through August 2, Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
