Summer program priority registration will be held beginning Monday, May 12, 2008 for City of Yuma residents and Monday, May 19, 2008 for all others. Registration will continue throughout the summer.

This summer, Parks and Recreation staff is offering a variety of opportunities for all ages through recreational programming, classes, and activities, while striving to provide excellent customer satisfaction at every level. Our summer programs begin June 9, 2008.

Summer Activities Guide

Our "Summer Activities Guide" will be distributed with the Yuma Sun newspaper on Sunday, May 11, 2008, and is available online. The activity guide will also be available at all Parks and Recreation offices.

Registration & Admission

How Do I Register?

We are happy to offer 6 ways to register: walk-in registration, phone-in registration, over-the-phone registration, online registration, fax-in registration and via mail. Learn more about registering for an activity...

In-Person Registration

In-person registration is available at the following locations:

  • The Parks and Recreation Office at City Hall, One City Plaza beginning Monday, May 12, 2008 at 7:00 a.m.
  • The North End Community Center, 160 E. 1st Street beginning Monday, May 12, 2008 at 8:00 a.m.
  • The Yuma Readiness Center beginning Monday, May 12, 2008 at 8:00 a.m.
  • The Yuma Art Center, beginning Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.

Online Registration

Online registration will be available for everyone on Monday, May 19, 2008. Sorry, some classes including swim lessons are not available for online registration.

Discounts For Residents

Various program fees are discounted for qualifying City of Yuma residents. For the purpose of registration, a Yuma resident is defined as any person living within the corporate limits of the City of Yuma. Learn more about the City Resident and Non-Resident policy...

Age Requirements

Age requirements have been established to safely facilitate age appropriate classes. Children must be the appropriate age by the first by the first day of class in order to register. Sorry, no exceptions.

Cancellations & Fees

The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel classes/programs due to insufficient registration or other causes beyond our control. Fees and dates are subject to change. MasterCard (TM), Visa (TM), Discover (TM) and American Express (TM) are accepted.

2008-2009 5K & 10K Runs and Fun Walks
