Summary:

Power lines and poles damaged, significant roadway closures and other issues and the North End Community Center is open for evacuees.

Storm Related Street Closures and Information

Power Lines / Poles Damaged

  • 700 block Water Street –trees and power lines are down but residents have ability to enter/exit freely.
  • 500 to 700 blocks of Avenue A -power lines still down but APS on scene 
  • Alleyway south of 8th St. between Ave. A and 10th Ave. – high tension transmission lines down, APS on scene.

Significant Roadway Closures Still in Effect

  • Avenue A from 5th St. to 7th St. power lines down – APS is on scene

Other Significant Roadway Issue

  • Portion of traffic signal down at 8th St. and Ave. A 
  • 3rd St  Avenue A – Traffic lights out in all directions 
  • 300 block S. 19th Avenue – tree down and completely blocking roadway. 
  • 336 S. 20th Avenue – Tree down and gas line ruptured.  Southwest Gas on scene 
  • San Clemente Rd – City Public Works is on scene clearing multiple trees from roadway. 
  • 900 S. 10th Avenue –A tree fell and took some power poles down.  APS crews on scene                

North End Community Center – Open for evacuees.

As of 9:30 am, they were housing 13 people. At 11:00 am APS is expected to deliver dry ice supplies to the center for those in need.
