City of Yuma Asphalt Maintenance, Concrete, and Contractor Crews will be working around the community performing normal maintenance and repairs on several roadways and intersections.

Crack Sealing and Concrete Work to Continue Around Community

City of Yuma Asphalt Maintenance, Concrete, and Contractor Crews will be working around the community performing normal maintenance and repairs on several roadways and intersections.

The City's Asphalt Maintenance Crews will be performing crack seal operations on the following locations during the week of August 9 through 13, 2010:Road construction items.

  • 8th Avenue from 16th Street to 24th Street
  • 32nd Street from Avenue A to the Big Curve
  • 7th Avenue from 16th Street to 19th Street
  • 6th Avenue from 16th Street to 19th Street
  • 5th Avenue from 16th Street to 19th Street
  • Carver Park Neighborhood
  • Fire Station # 4 (16th Street between Avenues B & C)

The motoring public should be aware of possible lane restrictions and lane closures in the maintenance areas.

The Public Works Concrete Crew will be performing some maintenance work to repair the curbing on the southwest corner of the MCAS Main gate on Avenue 3E. This work will be done on Tuesday, August 10th and Wednesday, August 11th. The curb and gutter in the south turn lane will be replaced as part of this maintenance project.

Access to Camino Alameda off of 24th Street will be closed on Tuesday, August 10th. This closure is necessary to allow the City's Contractor to raise utility valves at the Alameda entrance to the Casa Manana subdivision.

The final, clean up work consists of placing the Pavement Markings and two Speed Humps on Camino Alameda, and should be finished by Friday, August 20th.

The City of Yuma asks that you obey all warning signs in the maintenance areas.
