Camino Alameda Work Still to Come

Casa Manana Neighborhood - Camino Alameda Closure Rescheduled

Work on Camino Alameda that had been scheduled for Wednesday, July 14 will take place next week instead; specific date is unknown at this time. Camino Alameda will be closed to all traffic between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. the day of this work. Access to the neighborhood can be made via Camino Barranca.

Avenue 6E Sewer Interceptor at 32nd Street

Sections of 32nd Street have been closed at Avenue 6E as part of a sewer line interceptor project. During this portion of the project, 32nd Street traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction in that section. Avenue 6E remains closed immediately south of 32nd Street; detour using Avenue 5E.

32nd Street Drainage Improvements, Pacific to 3E - ADOT

ADOT drainage improvements are taking place in front of Yuma County Fairgrounds on 32nd Street. Catch basins are being installed to control the road flooding that can occur. The street may be reduced to one lane in each direction through the duration of the project to provide a safe work zone. Work hours are scheduled between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. The project is scheduled for completion by mid-September.

Avenue 3E, 24th Street to 32nd Street

Avenue 3E is open to two-way traffic between Gila Ridge Road and 24th Street, with traffic permitted onto and off of 24th Street as well. Avenue 3E is closed between 24th Street and 32nd Street for widening and resurfacing. Motorists who frequent 3E should detour using Pacific Avenue, or Araby Road if approaching from the east. Businesses in the general vicinity are open and access is available via 24th Street, Lakin Avenue and Palo Verde Street. Access to the self-storage facility can be made by taking Short Way north from 32nd Street, then proceeding west on 30th Street. This project will also include the replacement of the 24th Street pavement from Avenue 2½E to Avenue 3E.

Street Maintenance, Avenue 3E from 32nd Street to 40th Street

The City's asphalt maintenance crew is working this week on Avenue 3E between 32nd Street and 36th Street. Next week crews will work on 3E between 36th Street and 40th Street. Crews will work between 3 a.m. and noon beginning with the southbound lanes. Crews will be conducting crack seal and grinding operations in preparation for a seal coat. Lane restrictions and lane closures may be in effect.

40th Street Water Transmission Line, Avenue 3E to 6E

The intersection of 40th Street and Avenue 4E remains closed for another week as the water transmission line project progresses. 40th Street has been closed between avenues 3-1/2E and 4E and east-west traffic should use either 32nd Street or County 13th Street.

16th Street Widening - ADOT project

Traffic along 16th Street remains restricted to one lane in each direction between Yuma Palms Parkway and Arizona Avenue. Please plan ahead to reach your 16th Street destination.

For more information, call the project hot line at 1-877-397-5202, click on http://www.16thstreetwidening.com/, or e-mail 16thStreetWidening@azdot.gov.

Avenue B to Avenue C, 1st Street to 8th Street Sewer Project - Yuma County

Work is under way on sewer lines in a general area between 1st and 8th streets and avenues B to C. Traffic control plans have been submitted indicating possible closures in the intersection of Avenue C and 5th Street July 1-15.

Business Access Maintained in Construction Zones

Residents and motorists are reminded that vehicle access to businesses in City road construction project zones must be maintained. Businesses are open and reachable by vehicle. Though reaching those businesses may require advance planning, a detour and/or a couple extra minutes, motorists are encouraged to continue to visit and patronize businesses in city construction zones.
