Canal Work Expected To Resume Later This Month
The multi-use pathway adjacent to the East Main Canal is cleared and is open to all users following a break in work being done on the canal.
The Yuma County Water Users Association has been performing needed mainteanance on sections of the canal using heavy equipment to remove silt and other debris. Areas that had been worked on - south of 24th Street and north of 1st Street - are currently clear.
Work is expected to resume in a couple of weeks, focusing this time on areas north of 20th Street and south of 5th Street.
