Over 200 runners and walkers turned out in downtown Yuma for the 2011 Great Yuma Road Race 5K and 10K Run on Saturday, February 12.

Participants in the Great Yuma Road Race were broken up into male and female categories by age group: 9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80+. Medallions are awarded to gold, silver and bronze winners in each age group.
About the Winter 5K and 10K Run and Fun Walk Series
At the end of the five-run-series, individuals with the highest number of points in each age bracket (the winner must have participated in more than one race) will receive a plaque and every fun walker that has participated in all five events also receives a plaque. At each event the first place finisher receives 20 points, second place receives 15 points, third place receives 10 points and the remaining participants receive five points.
There is only one race remaining in the 2010 Winter 5K and 10K Run and Fun Walk Series.

Pre-registration is $8 and on-site registration beginning at 7:30 is $14
