This project consists of installing new waterline approximately 5,600 linear feet of 12-inch PVC water line along right of way for Avenue D and 1,500 linear feet of 10-inch water line which is to be installed along 28th Street. The project also includes new fire hydrants, street pavement replacement and concrete sidewalk.
16th Street Landscaping Improvements, Arizona Avenue to Yuma Palms Parkway
Beginning Sunday, Nov. 6, a weeklong series of overnight lane closures will take place on the inside lanes adjacent to the medians of 16th Street between Maple Avenue and Yuma Palms Parkway. This is to facilitate work in the medians. The lane closures will be in place between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., with 16th Street opening fully to traffic through the daytime and early evening hours. This phase is expected to be complete by 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11.
Looking ahead, the next anticipated lengthy lane closure for this project is expected to begin Nov. 28 through Dec. 2, when closures will take place in lanes adjacent to curbs. These lane closures would take place during daytime work hours.
Main Street - Children's Festival of the Arts
Motorists are advised that Main Street will be closed between 1st Street and Giss Parkway from 3 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, for the annual Children's Festival of the Arts.

City street maintenance crews will continue fog seal operations in the coming weeks. Fog seal is a fresh oil spray used to extend the life of street pavement 3 to 5 years. Motorists are advised that road closures, lane restrictions and detours may be in effect in the course of this project. Normal traffic flow will resume as time and weather permits.
The week beginning Nov. 6, crews will work in the Ocotillo 5 subdivision on Monday. Beginning Tuesdaay and continuing through the week, crews will seal streets in the Ocotillo 4B subdivision south of 46th Street.

Avenue 7E, Palms RV Area
A 26-day sewer line connection will require the closure of Avenue 7E south of 32nd Street. At one point, 7E will be closed between the streets named Charlton Heston and Tyrone Powers. At another point in the project, the Palms RV entrance from 7E will be restricted to inbound only.
Pacific Avenue at 32nd Street - Traffic Control Changes
Motorists need to be aware of changing traffic patterns at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and 32nd Street. For 32nd Street, all eastbound left turns onto Pacific Avenue will be made from the single left turn lane only. Left turns will no longer be permitted from a shared "left/through" travel lane. Westbound lane assignments will remain the same. Eastbound and westbound left turns from 32nd Street will operate separately from the through movements, and will be given the green arrow before eastbound and westbound through traffic is given the circular green indication.
Left turns will be permitted on a circular green indication, provided there are safe and adequate gaps in opposing traffic.
For Pacific Avenue, left turns onto eastbound 32nd Street will now be able to use two lanes: the left turn lane and the center lane, which will be for southbound left turns and through traffic into Yuma International Airport. These lane assignments will also be marked with overhead signs and pavement markings.

Yuma County will undertake a massive roadway improvement project widening Avenue C from 8th Street to Figueroa Street and 1st Street. This will include placing a City Of Yuma water main down the middle of the road. Avenue C will be closed entirely between 8th Street and 1st Street.
