Expected To Re-Open Friday
Yuma, Arizona - The City of Yuma's only off-leash park for dogs, the Bark Park, 1705 E. Palo Verde St., is closed temporarily due to recent rain and subsequently large amounts of standing water.
The park is designed to serve as a retention basin for stormwater. Due to recent weather events more water than normally seen has been captured in the basin.
The park is expected to open bright and early Friday morning. Its usual hours are dawn until 9 p.m. every day except Tuesdays, when it is closed for maintenance.
The City of Yuma apologizes for any inconvenience to dog owners caused by this temporary closure.
