Yuma City Hall will be closed Monday, Feb. 15 in honor of Presidents Day. As usual for holiday weeks, solid waste pickup will operate on an adjusted schedule that week.

Council To Meet On Tuesday; Trash Pick-Up On Alternate Schedule

Yuma, Ariz. - Yuma City Hall will be closed Monday, Feb. 15 in honor of Presidents Day. As usual for holiday weeks, solid waste pickup will operate on an adjusted schedule that week.

Additionally, the Yuma City Council, as announced at its Feb. 3 meeting, will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 16, instead of its usual Wednesday time slot. The Council's schedule on Tuesday the 16th will be as follows: Regular worksession at 5 p.m., with the regular meeting to follow afterward, starting no earlier than 5:30 p.m.

Trash pickup schedule for the week of Feb. 15 (City residents only):

  • Monday-Thursday pickup routes will be collected on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Tuesday-Friday pickup routes will be collected on Wednesday and Friday.

For questions regarding solid waste pickup inside the city limits, please call 373-4500.

Recycling drop-off sites will continue to be available for residents' use at 265 W. 13th St. and at 17th Street and 45th Avenue. Please do not drop garbage into these containers as they are provided for recyclable materials only, i.e. plastics, aluminum, paper, cardboard and metal.

Whenever City Hall is closed, residents can still pay their city services bill, register for a Parks and Recreation program and more by visiting http://www.YumaAZ.gov/.
