On February 4, 2010 just after 4:30 pm a house fire was reported at 3444 South Castle Drive. The resident had returned to find the home full of smoke and reported the fire. Yuma Fire Department personnel arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the building.
Firefighters entered the home and found a fire in a bedroom. As they were extinguishing it, the fire was found to also be in the crawl space under the floor. Firefighters pulled up flooring to get to the fire and extinguish it. Portions of the bedroom and flooring under the kitchen sustain fire damage. There were no injuries. The fire is believed to have originated in electrical wiring underneath the mobile home.
