West Wetlands Is Site For Renaissance Faire; Creative Playground Open
The Yuma West Wetlands is the site for the Two Rivers Renaissance Faire on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the fair opening its gates 10 a.m. Friday. Entertainers from around the world will perform on four stages, plus booths will have interesting and unique items for sale. More information is available by calling (928) 580-6704 or visiting the Two River's Renaissance Faire web site. (This link will take you to an external website that is not part of the City of Yuma official website.)
Because the fair will take up most of the park, most West Wetlands park amenities will be closed to the general public. The Stewart Vincent Wolfe Creative Playground will remain open; however, patrons must access the park using the 22nd Avenue entrance. The park will re-open for other uses on Monday.
Shade Coming To Sanguinetti
Parks and Recreation begins installing a shade structure for the large playground located at Sanguinetti Memorial Park, 22nd Street and 8th Avenue on Monday. There will be no access to the playground during construction, which is anticipated to be complete on or about Feb. 27.
This will bring the total number of shade-covered City playground structures to 10, and parents are encouraged to take their children to a City park. "Incorporating daily activity and exercise is important for both adults and children. Providing protected play spaces within our community provides an extra layer of safety," said Yuma Parks and Recreation Director Becky Chavez.

Bark Park Rules
This week's Bark Park etiquette tip: When and after arriving at the Bark Park, it is very important to be considerate of surrounding neighbors. Please do not block driveways or sidewalks. People who park illegally may be ticketed. Please keep noise down to the extent possible. Always pick up your trash and your dog’s waste and put it in a garage receptacle. If you see anyone at the Bark Park breaking the rules of the park, please email your complaint to the Parks & Recreation department .
The Bark Park is there for the health and enjoyment of the Yuma community and their dogs. Unlike the other parks in Yuma, the Bark Park has some unique rules that must be followed to ensure everyone's safety and maximize enjoyment. The Bark Park is located at 1705 E. Palo Verde St. in Yuma and is open from dawn until 9 p.m. every day but Tuesday.
Take Pride In Yuma
There were 102 cases of graffiti abated the week of Jan. 27 through Feb. 2.
