Injury Collision On West 1st Street

On Thursday, February 04, 2010 at 6:58 am, Yuma Police Officers responded to the 1400 block West 1st Street in reference to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision.

On Thursday, February 04, 2010 at 6:58 am, Yuma Police Officers responded to the 1400 block West 1st Street in reference to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision.

The initial investigation revealed a 13 year old female was crossing 1st Street on foot in the 1400 block of 1st Street when she was struck by an eastbound 1991 Toyota truck driven by Eric Rodriguez, 22 years old of Yuma.

The female was transported to the Yuma Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

The collision is under investigation and no citations have been issued.

The Yuma Police Department encourages any witnesses to the collision to please call the Yuma Police Accident Investigator John Allen at (928) 373-4700 or 78-Crime to remain anonymous.
