At about 11:30 PM on Sunday December 20, 2009, Yuma Police Officers responded to the area of 15th Street and 9th Avenue for the report of a shot fired.Contact:
At about 11:30 PM on Sunday December 20, 2009, Yuma Police Officers responded to the area of 15th Street and 9th Avenue for the report of a shot fired. When officers, arrived a subject was located in the 1400 block alleyway between 9th and 10th Avenue who had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to The Yuma Regional Medical Center and later pronounced deceased.
The victim was identified as Joseph Loera, 29 years old of Yuma.
During the course of the investigation a person of interest has developed. Yuma Police Detectives are looking for any information about the whereabouts of Cesar Angulo, 30 years old of Yuma. Angulo is a Hispanic male, 5’8, 200 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
