Summary:

The Yuma Police Department regrets to report that on 12-12-09 at approximately 0750 hours, Judge David Cooper (age 64) of Yuma Justice Court # 1 was found deceased in the immediate vicinity of his residence within the City of Yuma.

The Yuma Police Department regrets to report that on 12-12-09 at approximately 0750 hours, Judge David Cooper (age 64) of Yuma Justice Court # 1 was found deceased in the immediate vicinity of his residence within the City of Yuma. There were no initial indications of foul play, however the cause of death is unknown at this time.  The Yuma Police Department’s Investigations Bureau is currently conducting an investigation in conjunction with the Office of the Yuma County Medical Examiner.  Additional information will be released as it becomes known.
