Summary:

The victim in Sunday’s water rescue from the West Main Canal has not survived. Ramiro Zaragoza, age 51 of Yuma, passed away Monday at Yuma Regional Medical Center.

The victim in Sunday’s water rescue from the West Main Canal has not survived. Ramiro Zaragoza, age 51 of Yuma, passed away Monday at Yuma Regional Medical Center. Mr. Zaragoza had been hospitalized in critical condition after Yuma Fire Department personnel located him on the bottom of the canal. He was reported to have fallen into the canal shortly after 2:00 pm on Sunday.
