Creative Playground, West Wetlands Closures

The Stewart Vincent Wolfe Creative Playground, located in Yuma's West Wetlands Park, will undergo maintenance and will be closed between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19.

Park To Undergo Maintenance; Disc Golf Course Down During Balloon Festival

Yuma, Arizona - The Stewart Vincent Wolfe Creative Playground, located in Yuma's West Wetlands Park, will undergo maintenance and will be closed between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19.

Parks maintenance crews will repair and wash the soft turf at the playground's Tot Lot that day.

Additionally, the West Wetlands disc golf course, adjacent to the Creative Playground, will be closed through the weekend due to accommodate the Colorado River Crossing Balloon Festival, which is holding its mass ascensions at the West Wetlands this Saturday and Sunday mornings.

The disc golf course will reopen Tuesday, Nov. 24.  For more information on the course or on disc rental, please call Yuma Parks and Recreation at (928) 373-5243.

The West Wetlands Park is located at 2200 Water St.  Motorist can best access the playground by taking 12th Avenue north from 1st Street.
