Yuma Man Arrested for Continuous Sexual Abuse

On Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 12:04 pm, Yuma Police Officers began an investigation in reference to continuous sexual abuse.

The initial investigation revealed Jim Gaines, 51 years old of Yuma, had been sexually abusing the female victim beginning in 1999.  Gaines was later located and arrested at 7 pm. Gaines was booked into the Yuma County Detention Facility for:

  • Continuous sexual abuse 
  • Sexual conduct with a minor
  • Child molestation

Today, Gaines had his initial appearance at Yuma Justice Court and held on no bond. The case is currently under investigation.
