The YTA started as a tool to help build the capacity of the existing Yuma-area work force. Originally the programs were geared for management, but requests evolved to include programming that met the needs of a more general audience.
The key sponsors of YTA are City of Yuma, MCAS, the Yuma County Library, and Yuma Private Industry Council.
"By local entities going in together on programming, we've been able to bring top talent to Yuma at reasonable per-person pricing. That collaboration is what makes the program unique and effective," said Dallas Porter-Stowe, President and CEO of AGTS Inc., which manages the YTA series.
The series is a great opportunity for employees of both public and private sectors to get "really top-notch training at a reasonable price," Stowe noted.
