On Thursday, November 5, 2009, at about 2 pm, Yuma Police Officers arrested Adrian Covarrubias in the 600 block South 20th Avenue.

On Thursday, November 5, 2009, at about 2 pm, Yuma Police Officers arrested Adrian Covarrubias in the 600 block South 20th Avenue.

Covarrubias was wanted for questioning in reference to two separate attempted homicide investigations. One occurred on 5/11/09 at 5th Street and 17th Avenue and the other occurred on 6/9/09 at 4593 W. 17th Lane. 

Covarrubias was later booked into the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center for misconduct with weapons, possession of dangerous drugs for sale and participation in a criminal street gang. 

The attempted homicide investigations remain active.  

The Yuma Police Department encourages anybody with any information about this investigation to please call Detective Kohmetscher or Detective Wilcher at (928) 373-4670 or 78-Crime to remain anonymous.
