Bark Park Rules

This week's Bark Park rule reminder: Children under the age of six are not permitted in the Bark Park due to health and safety issues. All children must be supervised carefully.

This week's Bark Park etiquette tip: Not all dogs are suited for visits to the Bark Park. Know your dog. If he or she has behavior problems as they relate to humans or other dogs, please do not bring them to the dog park. Dogs that are friendly, confident, social, and outgoing are good dog park dogs. Dogs that are overbearing, obnoxious, fearful, aggressive, or reactive should NOT be taken to the Bark Park.

There are several resources in our community for dog behavior modification work and training. Contact your veterinarian for information.

The Bark Park is there for the health and enjoyment of the Yuma community and their dogs. Unlike the other parks in Yuma, the Bark Park has some unique rules that must be followed to ensure everyone's safety and maximize enjoyment. The Bark Park is located at 1705 E. Palo Verde St. in Yuma and is open from dawn until 9 p.m. every day but Tuesday.

Find more Bark Park rules on the Parks and Recreation page on the City's web site.
