Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma City Council, per motion made at its Aug. 5 meeting, will hold its first worksessions and meeting of September a little later than usual.
The Council will meet for its special worksession at 3 p.m. Sept. 8; its regular worksession at 5 p.m. Sept. 8; and its meeting at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 9.
Typically the Council meets the first and third Wednesdays of every month, with worksessions the preceding Tuesdays. During the week of Aug. 31 to Sept. 4, the City will be holding its primary election Sept. 1, on a Tuesday when worksessions would normally be held. Also, members of the council and City staff will be out of town attending the annual meeting of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns during that week.
The Sept. 15-16 meetings will go on as normal.
