Name that Dog Park, Final Phase

Yuma's first fog park is scheduled to open on Saturday, Oct. 3, but it needs a name! Please go to the City of Yuma's web site www.yumaaz.gov/parksandrec to review all of the name finalists and cast your vote for your favorite. Before selecting your number one dog park name, please take a brief survey. The results of the survey will be used to develop programming and services that benefit you. Voting takes place through Aug. 28. Cast your vote today!

Yuma Art Center Galleries Closing

After a long and busy season, it's time for a fresh coat of paint and a little sprucing up of the Yuma Art Center's Galleries. From Sunday, Aug. 16 through Aug. 31, the Yuma Art Center's Galleries will be closed to the public. The Yuma Art Center strives to provide patrons the most positive experience possible and hopes this will not cause any undue inconvenience. Galleries will reopen to the public on Sept.

Open Swim for August

Kennedy Skate Park Improvements

Kennedy Park's skateboarding facility is open while staff is working on irrigation upgrades around the skate park due to the major construction that was completed. The quarter pipe and mini half pipe have been put together and should be installed within the next week.

Shade and More Shade

The shade structure for Gateway Park's playground has been installed and the playground was open to the public on Wednesday. Work has started on the installation of the playground unit and shade structure at Victoria Meadows Basin Park, which they hope to have ready by mid-September.
