By City Charter, a councilmember must be a resident and a qualified elector (registered to vote) of Yuma, and must have resided within the city for at least one year preceding the term on council.

The City Council will discuss the position during its special worksession, to be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Valley Aquatic Center, 4381 W. 18th St.
