Registration for the 2009 Senior Games is now underway. Presented by City of Yuma Parks & Recreation, the 2009 Senior Games begin on January 9 and run through February 28, 2009.

The Games feature 39 different sports including tennis, golf, bowling, bridge, swimming, horseshoes, scrabble and softball.  There are amble opportunities to exercise both mind and body. 

Yuma Senior Games takes place over the course of eight weeks.  “The aim of the Yuma Senior Games is to host a series of quality competitions and to inspire everyone to live a healthier, more active lifestyle,” explained Joe Cox, City of Yuma Recreation Program Supervisor.  Everyone 50 and over is invited to attend.  Consider being a competitor in a sport or activity or simply compete for a seat on the sidelines as a spectator – Yuma Senior Games is the perfect way for everyone to bring in the New Year.

All participants must register a minimum of four (4) days in advance of their event.  No on-site registration will be taken.  The Senior Games Program Book is the resource for all Senior Games related information.  For information call 928-373-5200.
