It was a gobbling good time at the Turkey Trot for 5k/10k runners and fun. Turkey Trot for 5k/10k runners and fun walkers started out the first race in a series of five races on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the West Wetlands Park. Runners from ages 5-89 competed in this race. Walkers also enjoyed their brisk walk.

Runners were broken up into male and female categories by age group: 9 & under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80+. Medallions were awarded to gold, silver and bronze winners in each age group.

The next family friendly run and walk takes place Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the West Wetlands Park. For registration and more information contact Parks & Recreation at 373-5200.
