The City of Yuma has completed a Final Draft of the 2008 Bicycle Facilities Master Plan. This document is a result of a year long process that will update the City of Yuma Bicycle Plan from 1995.
The City of Yuma Bicycle Facilities Master Plan is a written guide for the future placement of Bike Lanes, Bike Paths, and Bike Routes through the City. The plan directs City departments how and when to implement each segment of the plan through the Capital Improvement Program. The Bicycle Facility Plan is updated approximately every 10 years as demographics change.

Two public hearings will occur on the City of Yuma Bicycle Facilities Master Plan. The first in front of the Planning and Zoning Commission on February 23, 2009 and the second, at a City Council Meeting on March 18, 2009.
