Training Alliance Season Kicks Off

Yuma, Arizona — The Yuma Training Alliance (YTA) kicks off its 2009 season with Laura Royal, management development expert, at the Yuma Civic Center, 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, November 18th, 2008.

In Royal’s highly interactive session, participants will learn key skills used by successful supervisors everywhere.  Topics include:

  • Understanding the supervisor’s role.
  • Meeting the unique challenges of the new supervisor.
  • Common supervisory mistakes and how to avoid them.
  • Effective delegation.
  • Coaching for improved employee performance.

Royal draws from many years of experience in designing and delivering powerful, learner-based training.  Her specialty areas include leadership, performance management, team dynamics, and presentation skills.  She holds a B.A. from the University of Missouri at Columbia and an M.S. Ed. from the University of Kansas.  Laura’s clients come from corporate, non-profit, educational, and government sectors.

The 2009 Yuma Training Alliance Professional Development Series features a variety of speakers presenting on key workplace topics. Tickets are $99 each or a set of 4 for $356.
