Yuma, Arizona — One City of Yuma issue was on the general election ballot, Proposition 400, regarding a multi-purpose events center in Yuma. The additional processing of ballots on Saturday roughly followed the same voting pattern that had been noted earlier in the counting process, with Proposition 400 still trailing.
With all 27 precincts reporting, and with Saturday’s release of approximately 2,100 “late early” and provisional ballots, Proposition 400 has received 11,023 votes against the measure and 9,185 votes in favor, trailing by a margin of 54.5 percent to 45.5 percent.
It is unknown how many of the remaining “late early” ballots are from within the city limits. But the remaining number of countywide ballots yet to be counted exceeds the difference between votes for and against Prop 400.
Yuma County expects to have more vote totals for release on Sunday, November 9th, in the late afternoon. Please check with the County’s web site or tune in to Time Warner cable channel 77 for the latest results.
